Why Pure Herbal Bidis ?
Most Tobacco smokers are aware that
Tobacco is dangerous. Over 25 of the most deadly diseases
known to man are directly linked to tobacco. In fact doctors
say that tobacco addiction is the single worst health habit
in the world with one out of every five deaths in India being
caused by tobacco.
And yet, knowing that with every puff they get closer to
the end, smokers are still unable to quit.

More about our Pure Herbal bidis
In double-blind tests, 90%
of smokers were unable to tell the difference between our
Pure Herbal bidis and ordinary tobacco.
Our Pure Herbal bidis contain 13 Ayurvedic
ingredients. Some of these purely natural elements possess
qualities which make the smoker oblivious to the lack of 'nicotine
high'.
Pure Herbal bidis contain a mix of natural
plants which have been specially treated without the use of
chemicals. Our Pure Herbal bidis are certified to be free
of tobacco, nicotine and tobacco-specific nitrosamines.
Our Pure Herbal bidis are the world's first
tobacco-free bidis. They mimic the pleasure-giving properties
of tobacco, but contain no nicotine or other carcinogens,
and are non-addictive.
As a tobacco product producer we have a sense
of duty to our customers, and the world as a whole, to act
responsibly and ethically. We are proud, as an Indian company,
to have been at the forefront of these developments and are
pleased that many smokers are already switching from tobacco
based products to Pure Herbal bidis.
By offering this alternative, there is
the potential to save millions of lives.
Pure Herbal bidis
- How are they made?
heavy investment in Research and Development
has provided us with methods to ensure uniform and smooth
burning throughout the smoke. Tobacco bidis are roasted in
a coal-fired furnace, but the dehydration process for Herbal
bidis must be more exact and better controlled. A precise
temperature controlled process has been refined to ensure
that the natural flavours of the Ayurvedic medicinal herbs
are enhanced and preserved within the beedie, and continue
to be retained for a long period of time.
History of the bidis
For almost one century, bidis have been a part
of the everyday life of India. These small original beedie
"cigarettes" were extremely popular in the 1970s amongst the
"Flower Power" generation.
The beedie industry gives jobs to more than
5 millions workers. The beedie industry, being a cottage industry,
allows Indian people to remain at home with their families
while they work.
The drying, packaging, quality control, and
every fabrication step, whilst centrally overseen, remains
exclusively artisanal in order to protect jobs and keep quality
levels high.
